Ahh Yeah Productions

Swab is a modest artist from the moors of Jutland.

Coming from Sunds, a suburb to Herning, Swab had limitied competition since he was the only battle dj in the erea.

Even though the activity in the erea was low, it didnīt keep him from persuing his dream of becoming a talented producer for other artists, and a competitive dj.

So he approached his ambition the usual way, he build his own mini studio in his parents workshed, here he sat for eight years, listening to soul, funk and old school hip hop.

He did have some contemporary role models though, like the X-men, DJ Premier and DJ Shadow.

After eight years of producing his own tracks, he hooked up with DJ Noize, and was offered a three minute slot on P3īs radioshow “Det store mix”. The next week his three minute track with cuts got played, this motivated Swab even further, and he got back in the lab.

In 2001 he co. arranged a weekly Hip Hop showcase called “Chill Out Sessions”, here he meet a cat called Boogie, they hooked up and became friends.

Later Swab was hired as a house DJ at a show called “The Definition”, the first jam ever held by Ayp.

Later Boogie got a listen to his beats and was blown away, overwelmned by the talent, and the fact that he never even heard of it in the small comunity.

So when Swab said that he wanted to make a record, but didnīt know how to get it done, it was all set, a year later “Half & Half” was in stock.

Shortly after the release, the founders of Ayp had their differences regarding the future of the crew, one didnīt want to get more involved with Hip Hop, this was unacceptable.

After wondering wether Ayp should shut down, Swab simply said “iīm down for whatever”, that made it official, the replacement was swift and from then on things were moving in the right direction.

Since that day, Swab and Boogie has worked side by side, producing tracks, arranging shows, promoting, learning about the business and networking.

Shortly after the release of “Half & Half” Swab was offered to replace “Theis” in Bumsestilen, the 1999 champions of the national battles of danish groups (DM i dansk rap).

Itīs been a while since the group has marked themselves in rap, even though their appearences on various compilations has proven them to maintain their position in the game.

Again and again they have brought their skills to the table, with their original style and creativity that still is their finest attribute.

In 2005 their debut album “Naturligvis” will drop, and once again Bumsestilen will definetly be known as a contender.

Swab is truly a great individual and a hardworking dj, with his untireing effort towards staying original and never sway from his characteristic boom bap sound, he will without a doubt be one of the most outstanding underground danish artists in the future.
